Coimbatore: Following the annual tradition, Coimbatore witnessed generous acts of giving during this year's Eid Al-Adha celebrations. Ahmed Kabir, a member of Manithaneya Makkal Katchi, facilitated the distribution of biryani and new clothes to the municipal and utility workers, including sanitation, water, and power employees working in the 86th ward's urban health center premises in Pullukadu area.

The event, held on June 18, successfully provided chicken biryani meals and new garments to over 200 employees. The distribution took place at the urban primary health center in the 86th ward of Ukkadam Pullukadu, showing strong community spirit and support for those who serve the city. Men received dhotis and shirts, women were given sarees, and children joyously received new outfits, ensuring everyone was a part of the celebration.

This is not the first time such an initiative has been observed. Ahmed Kabir has been spearheading this gesture every Eid, aiming to uplift and acknowledge the hard work of local service workers. The celebrations not only marked the festive occasion but also brought together various members of the community in a meaningful and festive gathering.
