The Jamabandi event started today at the Udumalpet Taluk office in Tirupur District, led by R.D.O. Jaswanth Kannan. Residents from 16 villages participated and submitted applications for various issues.
Tirupur: In a significant administrative move, Jamabandi started today at the Udumalpet Taluk office in Tirupur District, under the leadership of Revenue Divisional Officer (RDO) Jaswanth Kannan. The session marked the receipt of public grievances from residents of 16 villages in the Udumalpet jurisdiction. Each village had previously collected applications, and tokens were provided to streamline the process.
In this particular session, a total of 143 petitions were filed covering issues like land mutations, subdivision, encroachments, housing, and other public concerns. Of these, resolutions were found for two petitions on the spot, through a systematic categorization and forwarding to concerned officials.

Activists and locals emphasize the importance of submitting petitions during Jamabandi to resolve long-standing issues expediently. Authorities are urged to take quick action on the petitions submitted as well as pending ones, and to ensure adequate notification about Jama Bandi is provided to each village to facilitate easier resolution of public grievances.
The event was staffed by key officials including Tehsildar Sundaram, Deputy Tehsildar Rajendra Boopathy, Social Security Tehsildar Vivekanandan, Civil Supplies Tehsildar Karthikeyan, Regional Deputy Tehsildar Chandrasekaran, Revenue Inspector Saravanakumar, along with other administrative staff and assistants.
