Coimbatore: Following the tragic deaths of 58 individuals in Kallakurichi due to illicit liquor consumption, AIADMK members, led by Edappadi Palaniswami, organized protests throughout Tamil Nadu. A significant protest took place in Coimbatore today, led by former minister and opposition whip S.P. Velumani.

The protest, held in front of the Coimbatore South Tahsildar office, saw the participation of numerous AIADMK MLAs and party workers who raised slogans against the ruling DMK government.

The demonstration aimed to draw attention to the negligence and bring justice to the families of those who lost their lives. The protesters demanded stringent action and preventive measures to stop such tragedies in the future.

This protest is part of a statewide agitation by AIADMK to highlight what they claim is the failure of the DMK government to clamp down on illicit liquor in Tamil Nadu.
