Coimbatore: The Coimbatore City Traffic Police today announced significant changes to traffic flow on Avinashi Road due to ongoing construction work on a new overbridge.
According to the official notification, vehicles traveling from Anna Statue towards Avinashi Road should now divert right at Lakshmi Mill Junction, proceed through Puliakulam and turn left at Ramanathapuram Junction, finally taking the Trichy Road to reach Avinashi Road.
Vehicles on Avinashi Road can divert at Pioneer Mill Road, turn left and go through Railway Overbridge, reaching Gandhi Nagar via Taneer Pandal S Bend or take the Kodissia or Kalapatti routes. From Singanallur to Avinashi Road, commuters should avoid Kamarajar Road and instead, travel from Singanallur Junction via Ondipudur and L&T Bypass to reach their destination.
Additionally, for the next two weeks, those using Sathy Road and Trichy Road are requested to utilize these alternative routes to prevent traffic congestion around Peelamedu and Hopes College areas. The local traffic police urge motorists to plan their routes accordingly to avoid delays.
