Site Inspection for New Sports Facility in Coimbatore by Sports Development Authority Secretary

Meghanatha Reddy, the Secretary of the Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority, inspected a proposed site near Nehru Stadium in Coimbatore for a new modern sports facility.


Coimbatore: In alignment with the announcement made during the assembly budget request by the Minister for Youth Welfare and Sports Development, Udhayanidhi Stalin, for establishing a new sports facility equipped with modern amenities in Coimbatore district, a significant site inspection was conducted today (June 28, 2024).

Held near Nehru Stadium, the visit was led by Meghanatha Reddy, IAS, Secretary of Tamil Nadu Sports Development Authority.



Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati, IAS, Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabakaran, IAS, along with district sports youth officers Aruna (Coimbatute) and Raghukumar (Tirupur), Tehsildar Manivel and other government officials were also present to oversee and gauge the suitability of the location for the upcoming sports infrastructure.
