Coimbatore: The Coimbatore District Administration recently reported that a significant revenue settlement camp (Jamabandi) was held across all the Tehsildar offices in the district from June 20 to June 28. During this period, a total of 13,176 petitions were filed by citizens.
The petitions covered a range of requests including land title transfers, subdivision of land, land measurement, and applications for elderly assistance. Notable submissions were made in various regions with Coimbatore North receiving 2,076, Annur 1,502, Mettupalayam 2,535, Coimbatore South 362, Sulur 1,217, Madukkarai 1,035, Perur 1,665, Pollachi 1,081, Anaimalai 571, Kinathukadavu 890, and Valparai logging 191 petitions.
This camp was organized to facilitate the swift processing of numerous civil requests and to help resolve any disputes related to land and governmental assistance for the elderly.
