Southern Railway has extended the weekly special train service between Tirunelveli and Mettupalayam. This service will continue to cater to passengers for extra weeks in July.
Coimbatore: In a recent release by Southern Railway, the special weekly train service running between Tirunelveli and Mettupalayam has been extended. This decision comes as a response to the persistent demand from commuters for enhanced connectivity between these stations.
Passengers can now avail themselves of train no. 06030 departing from Tirunelveli every Sunday, from July 7 to July 28, 2024, at 7:00 PM. The train will arrive in Mettupalayam the following morning at 7:30 AM. Conversely, train no. 06029 will leave Mettupalayam every Monday, within the same dates, at 7:45 PM, reaching Tirunelveli the next morning at 7:45 AM.
Furthermore, the route includes multiple key stops such as Cheranmahadevi, Kallidaikurichi, Ambasamudram, Keelakadayam, Pabhoorchattram, Tenkasi, Kadayanallur, Sankarankovil, Rajapalayam, Srivilliputhur, Sivakasi, Virudhunagar, Madurai, Dindigul, Ottanchatram, Palani, Udumalaipettai, Coimbatore, and Pollachi.
