The comprehensive training covers essential aspects of beekeeping, providing participants with hands-on experience. The curriculum includes identification of bee species and understanding their social organization, techniques for rearing Indian bees in boxes, general and seasonal management practices, and the importance of bee forage.
Participants will also learn about the role of bees in increasing crop yields through cross-pollination, methods of honey extraction, and the management of bee enemies and diseases. This practical knowledge aims to equip attendees with the necessary skills for successful beekeeping.
Interested candidates are required to be present at the Department of Entomology, TNAU, Coimbatore at 9 am on the day of training. They must bring a valid ID proof and pay a training fee of Rs.590/- (Rupees five hundred and ninety only) on-site. The training session runs from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm.
