Pollachi MP Eswaranswamy announces plans for Kumbabishekam at Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple in Thai month, following Balalayam Puja at the temple's Raja Gopuram. The event marks the beginning of renovation works.
Coimbatore: The Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple, a renowned pilgrimage site near Pollachi, is set to undergo Kumbabishekam (consecration ceremony) within the upcoming Thai month, according to Pollachi MPEswaranswamy. This announcement came after the Balalayam Puja was performed at the temple's Raja Gopuram, marking the commencement of renovation works.

The Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple, one of the most famous temples in Tamil Nadu, attracts thousands of devotees daily from various districts of Tamil Nadu, Kerala, and neighboring states. The temple sees an even larger influx of devotees on special occasions such as Amavasya (New Moon day).
Tamil Nadu Chief Minister had earlier announced in the Legislative Assembly about conducting the Kumbabishekam for the Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple. The preparatory works for this grand event began today with the Balalayam Puja held in front of the Raja Gopuram.

Speaking to reporters after the event, Pollachi MPEswaranswamy stated, "Over 5,000 temples in Tamil Nadu have been renovated and consecrated by our Chief Minister so far. In that series, the world-renowned Anaimalai Masaniamman Temple's Kumbabishekam preparations have begun today. The consecration ceremony will be held within the coming Thai month."
The event was attended by several dignitaries including Murali Krishnan, Chairman of the Temple Trustee Committee, Kalaivani Santhalingam, Chairperson of Anaimalai Town Panchayat, Devasenathipathi, Union Secretary, Yuvaraj, and other DMK executives.
