Mettupalayam Municipality Commissioner Amudha warns residents to clear pending taxes and water charges immediately. Illegal water connections must be self-disconnected to avoid action.

Coimbatore: Mettupalayam Municipality Commissioner Amudha has issued a stern warning to the residents of the municipality regarding pending taxes and illegal water connections. In a press release dated July 12, the Commissioner outlined several important points for the public's immediate attention.

The Commissioner has urged all residents of the municipality to pay their outstanding taxes and water charges without further delay. This call for action encompasses all types of pending taxes owed to the municipality, emphasizing the importance of prompt payment to ensure the smooth functioning of municipal services.

In addition to the tax payments, Commissioner Amudha has addressed the issue of illegal water connections within the municipality. She has called upon those who have obtained water connections through improper means to come forward voluntarily and disconnect these illegal connections. This step is aimed at regularizing the water supply system and ensuring fair distribution among all residents.

The press release clearly states that appropriate action will be taken against those who fail to comply with these directives. This warning serves as a final opportunity for residents to rectify any irregularities in their tax payments or water connections before the municipality takes enforcement measures.

The Commissioner's announcement reflects the municipality's commitment to maintaining financial discipline and ensuring proper utilization of water resources. It also underscores the importance of citizen cooperation in the effective administration of municipal services.

Residents of Mettupalayam are advised to take this warning seriously and act promptly to avoid any potential legal complications or disruptions to their municipal services.
