Coimbatore: The Railway administration has announced the operation of a special train service from Kochuveli in Kerala to Barauni in Bihar via the Coimbatore route. This announcement was made recently by the Salem Railway Division administration.
According to the press release, the Kochuveli-Barauni special train (No. 06091) will depart from Kochuveli at 8:00 AM on Saturdays from July 27 to August 10, 2023. The train will reach Barauni railway station at 2:30 PM on Mondays.
On the return journey, the Barauni-Kochuveli special train (No. 06092) will leave Barauni at 11:30 PM on Tuesdays from July 30 to August 13, 2023. It will arrive at Kochuveli at 1:30 PM on Fridays.
The train will make stops at several stations including Kollam, Kayankulam, Mavelikara, Chengannur, Tiruvalla, Changanassery, Kottayam, Ernakulam, Aluva, Thrissur, Palakkad, Coimbatore, Tiruppur, Erode, Salem, Jolarpettai, Katpadi, Perambur, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Rajahmundry, Parvatipuram, Rayagada, Muniguda, Sambalpur, Rourkela, Hatia, Ranchi, Muri, Dhanbad, Chittaranjan, and Madhupur.
This special train service is expected to benefit passengers traveling between Kerala and Bihar, providing a convenient transportation option through the Coimbatore route.
