19 Sovereigns of Jewelry and Cash Stolen from House Near Ram Nagar, Coimbatore

A burglary occurred in Ram Nagar, Coimbatore, where 19 sovereigns of jewelry and Rs. 92,000 cash were stolen from a locked house. The incident came to light when the family returned from an event on July 28.


Coimbatore: In a shocking incident, 19 sovereigns of gold jewelry and Rs. 92,000 in cash were stolen from a house in Sarojini Street, Ram Nagar, Coimbatore. The theft occurred while the family was away attending an event.

Shereen (32), wife of Musrathullah, residing in Sarojini Street, Ram Nagar, had locked her house and left with her family members to attend an event on July 11. Before leaving, she had securely stored her jewelry, including a necklace, earrings, and bangles, totaling 19 sovereigns, along with Rs. 92,000 in cash, in the almirah of her house.

Upon returning home on July 28, Shereen was shocked to discover that the almirah had been broken into and all the jewelry and cash were missing. Distressed by the theft, she immediately filed a complaint with the Kattoor Police Station.

The Kattoor Police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. They are currently examining the crime scene for any clues that might lead to the identification of the culprits.

This burglary has raised concerns about the security in the residential areas of Ram Nagar. Local residents have urged the police to increase patrolling in the area to prevent such incidents in the future.

As the investigation continues, the police have appealed to the public to come forward with any information that might assist in solving the case and recovering the stolen valuables.
