MLA Selvaraj Presents Cash Incentives to World Cup Carrom Players at Tiruppur Tournament

MLA Selvaraj awarded cash incentives to World Cup Carrom players and distributed prizes to winners at the All India Open Singles Carrom Tournament in Tiruppur. The two-day event saw fierce competition among players.


Coimbatore: The All India Open Singles Carrom Tournament, organized by the Tiruppur North District DMK Youth Wing, concluded with an award ceremony where MLA Selvaraj presented cash incentives to World Cup Carrom players and distributed prizes to the winners.

The two-day tournament took place at a private wedding hall on Tiruppur-Palladam Road. In the final match, Mohammed Ghufran from Maharashtra emerged victorious, securing the first prize of one lakh rupees, a one-sovereign gold coin, and a rolling trophy.



MLA Selvaraj awarded cash incentives of one lakh rupees each to three players - Hasima, Mitra, and another participant - who will be representing India in the upcoming World Cup Carrom Tournament scheduled for November in California. The event showcased the growing popularity of carrom and the support for players at both national and international levels.
