Coimbatore: In a significant administrative reshuffle, Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced the transfer of several Tahsildars and Deputy Tahsildars across the district. The announcement, made on July 30, cites administrative efficiency as the primary reason for these changes.

According to the Collector's statement, Saravanakumar, who was serving as the Tahsildar of Coimbatore South, has been appointed as the Special Tahsildar for Coimbatore South (Urban Land Tax Scheme, Unit 1). Krishnaveni, who previously held the position of Special Tahsildar for Coimbatore South (Urban Land Tax Scheme, Unit 1), has been transferred to the role of Revenue Tahsildar for Coimbatore South.

In other key transfers, V. Kumari Ananthan, who was the Special Tahsildar for the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department in Coimbatore, has been moved to the position of Revenue Tahsildar in Annur. Kalpana Alamelu, who was the Special Tahsildar for the Ottanchatram-Dindigul four-lane road project (Pollachi unit), has been appointed as the Special Tahsildar for the Hindu Religious and Charitable Endowments Department in Coimbatore.

The Collector's order emphasizes that all transferred officials must report to their new posts immediately. It also warns that any attempt to avoid these transfers by taking leave or delaying joining the new position will result in disciplinary action against the concerned officers.

In addition to these changes, the Collector has also ordered the transfer of 24 revenue department officials who were serving as Deputy Tahsildars in various taluks including Pollachi, Mettupalayam, Kinathukadavu, and Perur.

These administrative changes are expected to bring fresh perspectives and enhance the efficiency of revenue administration across Coimbatore district.
