Power Outage Announced for Kathirnaickenpalayam and Arasur Substations Tomorrow

Electricity Board announces power cut in several areas of Coimbatore on August 2 from 9 AM to 5 PM due to monthly maintenance work at Kathirnaickenpalayam and Arasur substations.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Electricity Board (TNEB) has announced a scheduled power outage for tomorrow, August 2, due to monthly maintenance work at two substations in Coimbatore. The power cut will affect several areas served by the Kathirnaickenpalayam and Arasur substations from 9 AM to 5 PM.

Areas under the Kathirnaickenpalayam substation that will experience the power outage include Kathirnaickenpalayam, Rockipalayam, Teachers Colony, Narasimmanaickenpalayam, Kumarapuram, Ganesh Nagar, Sriram Nagar, Bombay Nagar, and Thoppampatti.

The maintenance work at the Arasur substation will result in power cuts in Arasur, Pothiyampalayam, Kurumbapalayam, Thennampalayam, Sengodagoundanputhur, Sellapampalayam, Pachapalayam, Vadugapalayam, Sangothipalayam, Samathuvapuram, Anbu Nagar, Annur Road, Ponnandam Palayam, and Molapalayam.

Residents and businesses in these areas are advised to plan accordingly for the eight-hour power interruption. The TNEB has stated that the maintenance work is necessary to ensure the reliability and efficiency of the power distribution network.

The electricity board typically conducts such maintenance work on a monthly basis to prevent unexpected breakdowns and improve the overall quality of power supply. Consumers are requested to cooperate with the electricity board during this planned outage.
