TNAU Hosts Job Fair 2024 for Graduating Students

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University organized a two-day Job Fair 2024 on August 8-9, attracting 20 companies and 500 students. The event aimed to connect graduates with potential employers across various sectors.


Coimbatore: The Centre for Students Welfare at Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) in Coimbatore organized a Job Fair 2024 for undergraduate and postgraduate students of the 2020 batch. The event, held on August 8-9, 2024, at the university's Convocation Hall, saw participation from 20 companies and 500 students.



Dr. N. Maragatham, Dean of the Centre for Students Welfare, welcomed the gathering and encouraged students from the main campus and all TNAU component institutions to seek suitable employment that would utilize their acquired knowledge and talents.

Dr. R. Thamizh Vendan, Registrar of the University, delivered the inaugural address, expressing gratitude to the participating firms for their trust in the university. He highlighted that TNAU students are now more driven to maintain their high level of technical knowledge and physical fitness to compete for jobs in various sectors, including government, NGOs, service industry, banking, national and international enterprises, and research labs.

The Registrar commended the Centre for Students Welfare for its efforts in facilitating placements, reflecting its dedication to supporting students' professional development and enhancing their employability.

Dr. J. Venkita Pirabu, Retired Professor from the Centre for Students Welfare, briefed the audience on the program of activities for Job Fair 2024 and its significance.

Dr. S. Kavitha, Assistant Placement Coordinator at the Centre for Students Welfare, delivered the vote of appreciation, acknowledging the efforts of Professors Dr. P. Muthulakshmi, Dr. K.M. Sellamuthu, Dr. M. Thangaraj, and Dr. C. Pradipa in organizing the successful event.

As part of the Job Fair, companies conducted pre-placement talks, providing students with information about job nature and company emoluments through presentations and videos. The two-day event served as a crucial platform for graduating students to explore career opportunities and connect with potential employers across various industries.
