Valparai Celebrates 78th Independence Day with Patriotic Fervor

Valparai in Coimbatore district marked the 78th Independence Day with flag-hoisting ceremonies at various government offices, schools, and public spaces, showcasing unity and national pride.


Coimbatore: The hill town of Valparai in Coimbatore district celebrated the 78th Independence Day with great enthusiasm and patriotic fervor. The national flag was hoisted at various government offices, educational institutions, and public spaces, symbolizing the spirit of freedom and unity.

The Municipality office, Taluk office, Court complex, police stations, and school campuses in Valparai witnessed flag-hoisting ceremonies to commemorate the nation's independence. At the Valparai Municipality office, Municipal Chairperson Alagu Sundaravalli and Commissioner Vinayagam led the celebrations, hoisting the national flag in the presence of the disaster rescue team and paying homage to the nation.



Similar flag-hoisting events were conducted at the Taluk office, Court complex, Valparai Police Station, Mudis Police Station, and Sholayar Dam Police Station. Educational institutions in the area also participated in the celebrations, with students and staff gathering to honor the national flag.

In a noteworthy gesture, sanitation workers hoisted the national flag at the flagpole near the Gandhi statue complex in Valparai. They also garlanded the statue of Mahatma Gandhi, paying tribute to the Father of the Nation. The event saw active participation from local residents and government officials, all coming together to celebrate the spirit of independence.



The 78th Independence Day celebrations in Valparai highlighted the town's unity and commitment to national values, with people from all walks of life joining in the commemorative events across various locations in the hill station.
