Two College Students Killed in Car-Bike Collision Near Pollachi

Two engineering students from Delhi and Haryana died in a tragic accident near Pollachi when a speeding car collided with their motorcycle while they were on a trip to Valparai.



Coimbatore: Two college students lost their lives in a fatal accident near Pollachi when a speeding car collided with their motorcycle. The victims, both third-year engineering students from a private college in Ettimadai, Coimbatore, were on their way to Valparai for a leisure trip.

The deceased have been identified as Akshat Harsana, 20, from Agra, Delhi, and Subhit, 21, from Haryana. The tragic incident occurred yesterday afternoon near the Kinathukadavu Koduvai junction on the outskirts of Pollachi.

According to police reports, the students were traveling on a motorcycle when a speeding car crashed into their vehicle. The impact of the collision was so severe that both riders were thrown off the bike and suffered critical injuries. They were pronounced dead at the scene.

Kinathukadavu police arrived at the accident site and recovered the bodies of the college students. The remains were sent to Coimbatore Government Hospital for post-mortem examination.

The Kinathukadavu police have registered a case and launched an investigation into the incident. Authorities are working to determine the exact cause of the accident and identify the driver of the car involved in the collision.

This tragic event has sent shockwaves through the college community and serves as a grim reminder of the importance of road safety. Local authorities are expected to increase vigilance in the area to prevent such accidents in the future.
