Coimbatore District Farmers Can Submit Petitions Tomorrow

Coimbatore Forest Department to hold farmers' grievance meeting on August 20. Farmers affected by wild animals can submit petitions at the Forest Century Hall in North Coimbatore.

Coimbatore: The Coimbatore Forest Department is set to conduct a farmers' grievance meeting at the division level tomorrow (August 20). The meeting will take place at the "Forest Century Hall" located in North Coimbatore.

The District Forest Officer announced today that farmers who have been affected by wildlife such as wild elephants, wild boars, leopards, deer, and peacocks can submit their petitions during this meeting. This initiative aims to address the concerns of farmers who have faced challenges due to wildlife encounters in their agricultural areas.

The grievance meeting provides a platform for farmers to voice their concerns directly to the forest department officials. It is expected that issues related to crop damage, livestock loss, and other wildlife-related problems will be brought to the attention of the authorities through these petitions.

Farmers in the Coimbatore district have long been grappling with the issue of wildlife intrusions into their farmlands. This meeting is seen as a step towards finding solutions and implementing measures to mitigate the human-wildlife conflict in the region.

The forest department encourages all affected farmers to utilize this opportunity to submit their petitions and participate in the grievance redressal process. The meeting is expected to foster better communication between the agricultural community and the forest department, potentially leading to more effective wildlife management strategies in the future.
