Railway stations and bus stands unusually crowded with the commencement of summer holidays


With the commencement of summer holidays, people have their bags packed and tickets booked to travel to their hometowns or tourist places. Hence, the Railway station and bus stands are unusually crowded with people. As most schools have closed for the summer, parents are on the lookout for fun places to keep their little ones engaged during the holidays.

The Salem division of Southern Railways have also introduced many special passenger trains that operate through the week. Additional buses have also been added to the existing schedule to meet the rising tourist crowd. 



The Police have advised the passengers to be precarious, as pick pocketing and chain snatching are quite common this season. And, also additional police are also deployed for patrolling.
