Coimbatore: Mayor Ranganaayaki conducted a series of inspections in the West Zone of Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation on Wednesday (28.08.2024), focusing on ongoing development projects and educational facilities.
The Mayor's first stop was the Municipal Middle School in Idayarpalayam, Ward 35 of the West Zone. Here, she inspected the construction of six additional classrooms, a project valued at Rs. 75 lakhs funded by the Corporation's Education Fund. Mayor Ranganaayaki instructed the concerned officials to complete the work swiftly without compromising on quality.

During her visit to the school, the Mayor also examined the midday meal preparation facilities. She checked the quality and hygiene standards of the food being served to students, inspected the food stock and relevant registers. The Mayor took time to interact with the students, discussing their experiences and needs.

Following the school inspection, Mayor Ranganaayaki visited Pudhu Nesavalar Colony and Moogambigai Nagar in Ward 35. Here, she reviewed the ongoing underground drainage system works and inspected damaged stormwater drains. The Mayor emphasized the importance of completing these infrastructure projects promptly to improve the area's living conditions.

Throughout the inspections, Mayor Ranganaayaki was accompanied by a team of officials including Assistant Commissioner Mrs. Santhiya, Ward Councilor Mr. Sampath, Zonal Health Officer Mr. Veeran, Assistant Engineer Mr. Rajeswaranvenogopal, and Sanitary Inspector Mr. Chandrasekar, along with other Corporation officials.
