Coimbatore: Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran conducted an inspection of ongoing development projects in the East Zone of Coimbatore Corporation on September 4, 2023. The mayor visited several project sites and interacted with the public to address their concerns.


During the inspection, Mayor Ranganayaki examined the tar road work being carried out on Masakalipalayam Road in Ward 53 of the East Zone. This project, implemented under the Tamil Nadu Urban Roads Infrastructure Project (TURIP) 2022-23, spans 1070 meters and is valued at Rs. 75.45 lakhs.

She also inspected the construction of an Urban Health Center in Neelikonampalayam area of Ward 54, being built at a cost of Rs. 1.48 lakhs under the 15th Central Finance Commission grant.

The mayor then proceeded to Singanallur in Ward 61, where she visited a newly constructed Urban Primary Health Center. This facility, built under the National Urban Health Mission at a cost of Rs. 1.20 lakhs, was thoroughly inspected by the mayor. She also visited the Masakalipalayam Corporation Middle School, where she reviewed the attendance registers.
In Neelikonampalayam area of Ward 54, Mayor Ranganayaki took the time to listen to the grievances of local residents, demonstrating her commitment to addressing public concerns directly.
The inspection tour was accompanied by several officials including Assistant Commissioner Muthusamy, Executive Engineer Karuppasamy, Ward Councilors Mohan, Bagyam, Siva, and Adhimaheswari. Other officials present were Assistant Executive Engineer Rajeshkanna, Assistant Town Planner Bhuvaneswari, Assistant Engineer Jagadeeswari, and other Corporation officers.
