Power Outage Announced for Tomorrow in Arasur, Kallimadai, and Kathirnaickenpalayam Sub-stations

Tangedco announces power cuts in various areas of Coimbatore on September 6 from 9 AM to 4 PM due to monthly maintenance work at Arasur, Kallimadai, and Kathirnaickenpalayam sub-stations.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Generation and Distribution Corporation (Tangedco) has announced power outages in several areas of Coimbatore district on September 6, 2023, due to scheduled monthly maintenance work at three sub-stations.

The Arasur sub-station will undergo maintenance from 9 AM to 4 PM. As a result, power supply will be suspended in Arasur, Pothiyampalayam, Vagarayampalayam, parts of Sellapampalayam, Kurumbapalayam, Rasipalayam, Neelampur area, and Uthukuli.

Similarly, maintenance work at the Kallimadai sub-station will affect power supply from 9 AM to 4 PM in Kallimadai, Balan Nagar, V.R. Puram, N.K. Palayam, Krishnapuram, Hope College to Civil Aero, Housing Unit, Singanallur, Ondipudur, G.V. Residency, Sarkarai Chettyar Nagar, Masakalipalayam, Kamaraj Road, and Uppilipalayam.

The Kathirnaickenpalayam sub-station maintenance will result in power cuts from 9 AM to 4 PM in Kathirnaickenpalayam, Kumarapuram, Nasimanaickenpalayam, Bombay Nagar, Teachers Colony, Ganesh Nagar, Sri Ram Nagar, and Thoppampatti.

Tangedco officials have advised residents and businesses in these areas to plan accordingly for the scheduled power outage. Normal power supply is expected to resume once the maintenance work is completed.
