Coimbatore District Collector announces extension of admissions to Government ITIs till September 30, offering various courses with free training and additional benefits for students.
Coimbatore: Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced that the direct admissions for trainees in Government Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs) for the academic year 2024 have been extended until September 30. This extension applies to four ITIs in the district: Government ITI on Coimbatore-Mettupalayam Road, Women's Government ITI in Coimbatore, Government ITI for Tribals in Anaikatti, and Government ITI in Valparai.
The Government ITI in Coimbatore is offering direct admissions for vacant positions in various trade divisions, including turner, machinist, mechanic, and electrician. These courses range from six months to two years in duration. Notably, the training fee for these courses is completely free.
All trainees will receive numerous benefits from the government, including free laptops, bicycles, bus passes, uniforms, shoes, and drawing instruments. The ITI also assures job placement for all trainees who complete their training through campus interviews in the private sector.
Collector Pati emphasized that admissions will be granted on a first-come, first-served basis until all vacant positions are filled. He urged interested candidates to take advantage of this opportunity.
