DMK Minority Wing Leader Provides Annadhanam on Vinayagar Chaturthi

Arokiya John, DMK North District Minority Wing Leader, organized annadhanam for over 500 devotees at Sri Sakthi Ganapathi Vinayagar Temple in Coimbatore on Vinayagar Chaturthi, as part of the party's initiative to serve food at 100 temples.


Coimbatore: On the auspicious occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi, Arokiya John, the DMK North District Minority Wing Leader in Coimbatore, organized an annadhanam (free food distribution) event at the Sri Sakthi Ganapathi Vinayagar Temple in Vaiyapuri Nagar, Kurumbapalayam, Sarkkar Samakulam Panchayat, Coimbatore North District.

The event, which served over 500 devotees, is part of a larger initiative by the DMK North District Minority Wing to provide annadhanam at 100 temples. This effort is in commemoration of the birth centenary of former Chief Minister and DMK leader Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi.

Speaking about the initiative, Arokiya John said, "Under the guidance of Coimbatore North District DMK Secretary Th. A. Ravi, we planned to offer annadhanam at 100 temples to mark the centenary celebrations of our beloved leader, former Chief Minister Dr. Kalaignar. We have been consistently providing food at various temples across the North District of Coimbatore."

He further added, "As a continuation of this effort, we chose to organize annadhanam on Vinayagar Chaturthi at the Sri Sakthi Ganapathi Vinayagar Temple in Vaiyapuri Nagar, which falls under the S.S. Kulam Union. We are grateful for the opportunity to serve the devotees who visited the temple on this special day."

The annadhanam initiative reflects the DMK's commitment to community service and its efforts to honor the legacy of Dr. Kalaignar Karunanidhi. The event not only provided nourishment to hundreds of devotees but also fostered a sense of unity and celebration on the festive occasion of Vinayagar Chaturthi.
