Coimbatore: Actor Vijay, the leader of Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam, has announced that the Indian Election Commission has granted official recognition to his political party. In a statement released today (Sept. 8), Vijay shared this significant development with his supporters and the public.

Vijay began his statement by addressing his followers as "friends residing in my heart" and emphasized the party's fundamental principle of equality for all lives. He mentioned that while they had been approaching politics with this ideology, they had been waiting for the official registration to fully celebrate their entry into the political arena.

The actor-turned-politician revealed that they had applied for party registration with the Election Commission of India on February 2. After a thorough legal review, the Election Commission has now registered Tamilaga Vettri Kazhagam as a political party, allowing it to participate in electoral politics as a registered entity.

He also mentioned that preparations for the party's first state conference and policy declaration are underway, asking supporters to wait for an official announcement regarding these events.
