Tourist Vehicle Drivers Association Donates to Kerala Landslide Victims in Udumalai, Tirupur

The South Indian Tourist Vehicle Drivers and Owners Welfare Association in Udumalaipet, Tirupur district, donated ₹1.07 lakh to Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund for Wayanad landslide victims.


Tirupur: The South Indian Tourist Vehicle Drivers and Owners Welfare Association, based in Udumalaipet, Tirupur district, has extended a helping hand to the victims of the recent landslide in Wayanad, Kerala. The association collected funds from its members, administrators, and fellow motor vehicle drivers to support those affected by the natural disaster.

In a gesture of solidarity, the association gathered a sum of ₹1,07,000 (one lakh and seven thousand rupees) for the Kerala Chief Minister's Relief Fund. The state treasurer, Mubarak, transferred the collected amount to the relief fund through a bank transaction today.

This act of generosity demonstrates the spirit of unity and support between neighboring states during times of crisis. The contribution from the tourist vehicle drivers and owners association is expected to aid in the relief and rehabilitation efforts for those impacted by the Wayanad landslide.

The initiative taken by the association highlights the importance of community support and cross-state cooperation in addressing the challenges posed by natural calamities.
