When Coimbatore city drivers took the phrase 'rules are meant to be broken' quite literally

Coimbatore city has been a very accident prone region, due to which the city traffic police have had to take quite a few measures in the recent past. However, drivers continue being reckless, paying no heed to their safety.

While signboards clearly convey orders to drivers, these are largely ignored. Drivers can be seen parking in no parking zones, vehicles speed across no entry zones and 2 wheel drivers ride on footpaths. Many a times people are also caught drinking and driving.

It is high time the drivers of the city began taking road safety as a serious concern. Let us take tiny steps such as not using mobile phones while on the road, wearing seat belts and obeying traffic rules and regulation in order to make the roads of Coimbatore a much safer place.
