Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran Displays Best Corporation Award and Cheque at Coimbatore Corporation Council Meeting

Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran presented the Best Corporation Award and a cheque for Rs. 50 lakhs received from Chief Minister M.K. Stalin at the Coimbatore Corporation Council meeting on September 13.


Coimbatore: In a proud moment for Coimbatore, Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran displayed the Best Corporation Award and a cheque for Rs. 50 lakhs at the ordinary meeting of the Coimbatore City Municipal Corporation Council held at Victoria Hall on September 13.

The award was presented to Coimbatore Corporation by Tamil Nadu Chief Minister M.K. Stalin during the 78th Independence Day celebrations in Chennai on August 15. The Corporation received the first prize for being the best municipal corporation in the state.

Mayor Ranganayaki Ramachandran and Corporation Commissioner M. Sivaguru Prabhakaran, IAS, who received the award from the Chief Minister, proudly showcased it to the council members and corporation officials present at the meeting. The recognition comes as a testament to the city's progress and efficient governance.

Deputy Mayor R. Vetriselvan was also present during the council meeting, joining in the celebration of this significant achievement. The award and cash prize are expected to further motivate the corporation to continue its good work and implement more citizen-centric initiatives in the future.
