Coimbatore: In a groundbreaking move, Sri Ramakrishna Hospital, Coimbatore, has become the first in Tamil Nadu to introduce QUIDELORTHO'S VITROS AUTOMATION SOLUTIONS connected with VITROS XT 7600 Integrated analyzers. This state-of-the-art clinical lab equipment, launched on Monday, September 16th, offers world-class robotic automation for blood testing, powered by Artificial Intelligence (AI) quality-checking technology.

The advanced system was officially inaugurated by R. Sundar, Joint Managing Trustee of SNR Sons Charitable Trust, in the presence of Anand Pande, Vice-President Asia Pacific of QuidelOrtho. Also present at the launch were Trust CEO C.V. Ramkumar, Medical Director Dr. Rajagopal, Medical Superintendent Dr. Alagappan, and Administrative Director of Diagnostics R. Dorairaj.

This cutting-edge system is designed to deliver highly accurate and reliable blood test reports in the shortest time possible, using minimal sample volume. This improvement not only enhances the patient experience, particularly for infants and elderly patients where blood samples are more precious, but also empowers doctors to make swift, informed decisions for effective patient treatment options.

The VITROS AUTOMATION SOLUTION utilizes Dry Chemistry technology, marking a significant milestone as the first of its kind in Tamil Nadu. This innovative technology is renowned for its precision and sustainability, using solid reagents embedded in micro slides to enhance testing efficiency while ensuring consistent, reliable results.

Environmentally, this system is expected to save the hospital approximately 11 lakh liters of water annually and significantly reduce liquid waste, directly contributing to more sustainable healthcare practices. The flexible configurations of the Automation Solutions also enable lab technicians to perform tests more efficiently.

"Sri Ramakrishna Hospital has always been dedicated to providing world-class healthcare services to our patients. With the installation of these state-of-the-art blood testing machines, our commitment to delivering exceptional healthcare is elevated to an even higher standard of excellence," the Hospital's Management team stated.
