Coimbatore Trains to Skip Bengaluru Station for 92 Days Due to Development Work

Salem Railway Division announces that certain trains from Coimbatore will not stop at Bengaluru railway station for 92 days due to ongoing development work, affecting travel plans from September 20 to December 20.



Coimbatore: The Salem Railway Division has announced that several trains operating from Coimbatore will not halt at the Bengaluru railway station for 92 days due to ongoing development work. This change will be in effect from September 20 to December 20, 2024.

According to a recent press release from the Salem Railway Division administration, the development work at the Bengaluru railway station in Karnataka has necessitated this temporary change in train schedules. The affected trains include those running between Coimbatore and other major cities via Bengaluru.

The trains that will not stop at Bengaluru railway station during this period are:

1. Mumbai Lokmanya Tilak - Coimbatore train (No. 11013)

2. Coimbatore - Lokmanya Tilak train (No. 11014)

3. Bengaluru - Ernakulam train (No. 12677)

4. Ernakulam - Bengaluru train (No. 12678)

Passengers planning to travel on these routes are advised to make alternative arrangements or check for updated information from the railway authorities. The Salem Railway Division has stated that this temporary measure is necessary to facilitate the improvement works at the Bengaluru station.

Train users are requested to take note of these changes and plan their journeys accordingly. The railway authorities have assured that normal services will resume after the completion of the development work at the Bengaluru railway station.
