Valparai Municipal Officials Urge Residents to Boil Drinking Water

Valparai municipal officials advise residents to boil and filter tap water before consumption due to weather changes and water supply from check dams after the southwest monsoon.

Coimbatore: Valparai, a hill station in the Coimbatore district, is experiencing significant weather changes following the southwest monsoon. The town now faces cold nights and sunny days, leading to fluctuating temperatures.

The Valparai Municipality is currently supplying drinking water from check dams where water has been stored. Given these circumstances, municipal officials have issued an important advisory to the public on September 23.

Residents are strongly urged to boil their drinking water thoroughly before consumption. Additionally, the officials have recommended that people filter the tap water before use. This precautionary measure is aimed at ensuring the safety and quality of drinking water for the residents of Valparai.

The advisory comes as a proactive step to prevent any potential waterborne illnesses that may arise due to the changing weather conditions and the current water supply situation. Municipal authorities are keen on maintaining public health and are taking necessary steps to communicate these important guidelines to the community.
