Minister Committee to Address GST Issues: Vanathi Srinivasan

BJP National Women's Wing President Vanathi Srinivasan announced that GST-related issues in Coimbatore will be presented to a ministerial committee. She also commented on the fake smart card issue and the law and order situation in the state.

Coimbatore: Vanathi Srinivasan, MLA for Coimbatore South and National President of BJP's Women's Wing, met with reporters after participating in a BJP membership drive event in Ramanathapuram Kondasamy Layout and Alamelu Mangammal Layout areas of Coimbatore.

Addressing the media, Srinivasan said, "A committee of ministers has been formed to address GST-related issues. The GST matters received in Coimbatore will be submitted to this ministerial committee. We are also planning to present our views on GST to the state's Finance Minister."

Expressing shock over the creation of fake smart cards, Srinivasan stated, "Smart cards are issued to ensure government schemes reach the poor. It's shocking that there are irregularities in this process. The state government should investigate this matter."

She also commented on the law and order situation in Tamil Nadu. "The government thinks it can pacify people by conducting encounters. They don't try to analyze and solve the root causes of problems. There might be changes in the cabinet, but it's the people of Tamil Nadu who are disappointed," she remarked.

Srinivasan spoke about atrocities against women and scheduled castes. She criticized the government, saying, "The government is arresting those who post comments on social media while letting the real culprits go free."

Regarding central government fund allocation, she questioned, "Why demand that the Prime Minister provide funds when the allocated money is not being spent?"

She also expressed concern about human waste directly mixing with the Noyyal River in the Puttuvikki area of Coimbatore. "The government should take immediate action to stop human waste from polluting the river," she urged.
