AIADMK MLA P.R.G. Arun Kumar submits petition to Coimbatore District Collector, seeking action against Vellanaipatti Panchayat President Kavitha for alleged misconduct and false complaints against public and youth.
Coimbatore: AIADMK MLA P.R.G. Arun Kumar, representing the Kavundampalayam constituency, submitted a petition to Coimbatore District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati on Monday (Sept. 25), urging action against Vellanaipatti Panchayat President Kavitha for alleged misconduct and filing false complaints.
According to the petition, Kavitha has been accused of engaging in malpractices since assuming office. A case regarding these allegations is currently ongoing in the court. Arun Kumar claimed that Kavitha has filed false complaints to divert attention from the case, potentially leading to unwarranted action against the public and youth.

The MLA, accompanied by a delegation including Advocates' Wing Secretary Gopalakrishnan, Union Secretary Sukumar, Chairman Kavitha Shanmugam, and Panchayat Member Balakrishnan, along with public representatives, met with the District Collector to present their concerns. They also emphasized that no action should be taken against the public and youth based on the alleged false complaints filed by the Panchayat President.
The petition was submitted to both the District Collector and the District Police Commissioner, highlighting the seriousness of the issue and seeking immediate intervention from the district administration to address the situation in Vellanaipatti Panchayat.
