Coimbatore: M Sivaguru Prabhakaran IAS, the Commissioner of Coimbatore Municipal Corporation, conducted an on-site inspection of various development projects in the Ramanathapuram area under the Central Zone on September 25, 2024.

The Coimbatore Municipal Corporation is currently undertaking numerous development projects across its five zones - East, West, North, South, and Central - to benefit the public. As part of this initiative, the Commissioner has been conducting daily field inspections along with corporation officials to ensure prompt action on ongoing works.

During today's inspection, the Commissioner visited the Anganan Layout in Ward 63 of the Central Zone to review the progress of the SUEZ 24x7 drinking water supply project.

He instructed the concerned officials to expedite the completion of the works.

Subsequently, the Commissioner inspected the renovation of a corporation-owned building in Ramalinga Jothi Nagar, Ramanathapuram, which is to be converted into a ward office.

He also examined the renovation of a corporation-owned marriage hall in Nagappa Thevar area, which is being refurbished for public use.

At the Ramanathapuram Main Road junction, the Commissioner reviewed the immediate repair work on a damaged main pipeline of the underground drainage system. He also inspected the SUEZ 24x7 drinking water supply project works in the Ramanathapuram area and directed the officials to complete the tasks promptly.

Furthermore, the Commissioner visited a corporation-owned land on Olympus Main Road in Ramanathapuram to assess its potential use for municipal purposes.
During these inspections, the Commissioner was accompanied by a team of officials including Works Committee Chairman Shanthi Murugan, Assistant Commissioner Senthilkumaran, Executive Engineer Karuppasamy, Assistant Executive Engineer Hemalatha, Zonal Health Officer Gunasekaran, Assistant Engineers Natarajan, Sakthivel, and Balachander, Sanitary Inspector Jaganathan, SUEZ company officials, and other corporation officers.
