The petition, submitted on September 27, was led by Coimbatore North MLA Amman K. Arjunan and Singanallur MLA K.R. Jayaram. They urged the Collector to take immediate action in the public interest regarding the flyover ramp pillar construction.

During the meeting, a resolution was passed to request the government to continue the construction work without causing any hindrance to the historically significant road. The AIADMK members emphasized the need to preserve the area's heritage while proceeding with development projects.
