Women's Organizations Rally in Coimbatore for Drug-Free Tamil Nadu

A rally demanding a drug-free Tamil Nadu was organized by All India Women's Progressive Association and All India Kulalar Progressive Organization in Coimbatore. Participants submitted a petition to the District Collector.



Coimbatore: Women's organizations in Coimbatore conducted a rally to emphasize the need for a drug-free Tamil Nadu. The event was jointly organized by the All India Women's Progressive Association, All India Kulalar Progressive Organization, and Sara Earthenware and Brick Workers Welfare Association.

The rally participants gathered near the Coimbatore District Collector's office. They marched in a procession carrying banners with slogans such as "Does creating widows bring glory to the nation?" and "Create a virtuous Tamil Nadu." They also carried a photograph of Buddha.



The demonstrators stressed the importance of controlling drug usage and preventing the sale of narcotics. They highlighted the increasing drug use among youth and demanded immediate government action to curb this trend.



At the conclusion of the rally, participants met with the Coimbatore District Collector and submitted a petition. The petition detailed their demands for controlling drug usage. Their primary request was for the government to take stringent measures to create a drug-free Tamil Nadu.
