Coimbatore: District Collector Kranthi Kumar Pati has announced a district-level private job fair organized by the Tamil Nadu State Rural Livelihood Mission (Women's Program) in Coimbatore district. The event aims to benefit educated unemployed youth from all blocks of the district.
According to the statement released by the Collector today (Oct. 3), the job fair will be held on October 5, 2024, from 9:00 AM to 3:00 PM at Karpagam Arts and Science College campus, located in Eachanari on Pollachi Main Road, Coimbatore district.
The event will feature free skill training programs under various schemes such as DDUGKY, RSETI, and TNSDC. The DDUGKY scheme will offer training in Restaurant Caption, Security Supervisor, Facility Management Executive, Retail Sales Associate, Customer Care Executive BPO Non-Voice, Field Technician and Computing Peripheral, General Duty Assistant, Documentation Executive, and Business Correspondent & Business Facilitator.
RSETI will provide training in Beauty Parlour Management, Women's Tailor, Candle Making, Pickle and Masala Powder, Costume Jewellery, and Bee Keeping. The TNSDC scheme will focus on sectors like Apparel, Automotive, Textiles and Handlooms, Healthcare, and Gur Sector.
More than 50 leading companies from various industries, including Information Technology, Automobile Industries, Garments, Infrastructure, Marketing, Sales Associates, CNC Operator and Electrical, and Gur sector-related firms, will participate in the job fair to offer employment opportunities.
Educated unemployed youth (both men and women) from rural and urban areas, aged between 18 and 35 years, with educational qualifications ranging from 8th standard to postgraduate degrees, technical education, diplomas, and ITI training, are invited to participate and benefit from the event.
Interested candidates are requested to bring their educational certificates, Aadhaar card, bio-data, photograph, and other relevant qualification certificates (both original and copies) to attend the job fair and secure employment opportunities with training or direct placements.
