Road safety awareness campaign held in Lakshmi Mills


Joining hands with City Traffic Police NGOs and student volunteers created road safety awareness today.

The students of SNR college, volunteers hailing from Friends of Road safety Edu Dharma and Shop and True companies had carried out their campaign in the busy Lakshmi Mills junction during peak hours ( 4 pm to 6 pm).



They distributed hand bills stressing the need for wearing helmet, seat belts, and avoiding road rage. 

The student volunteers also carried placards against the evils of drunk driving and how it leads to road accidents. 



“Sadly Coimbatore city roads have become death traps due to increasing volume of traffic and noncompliance of road rules by road users “ Arjun Saravanan , Deputy Commissioner of Police ( Traffic) said.
