Higher Education Secretary Issues Notice to Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor Committee Member

The Higher Education Secretary has issued a notice to a Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor committee member, seeking explanation on allegations of misconduct raised by the university teachers' association.

Coimbatore: The Higher Education Department has sent a notice to a member of the Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor's responsibility committee, requesting an explanation regarding allegations of misconduct. This action comes in response to a complaint petition filed by the Bharathiar University Teachers Association (BUTA) to the Higher Education Secretary in August.

The petition alleged that Lovina Little Flower, a member of the Bharathiar University Vice-Chancellor's responsibility committee, had been involved in various rule violations. These included the appointment of honorary teachers, unlawful actions against a professor, and the appointment of principals in private self-financing colleges. The complaint also demanded her removal from the position of committee member.

In light of these allegations, the Tamil Nadu Higher Education Secretary has now issued a notice to Lovina Little Flower, seeking her explanation on the complaints raised against her. This move indicates that the department is taking the allegations seriously and is proceeding with due process to investigate the claims made by the university teachers' association.

The notice serves as an opportunity for the committee member to present her side of the story and address the concerns raised in the complaint. The outcome of this inquiry could have significant implications for the administration of Bharathiar University and the integrity of its leadership structure.
