TNAU to Conduct One-Day Training on 'Value Addition in Flowers'

Tamil Nadu Agricultural University will host a one-day training on 'Value Addition in Flowers' on October 9, 2024, at the Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, HC & RI, Coimbatore, aimed at promoting entrepreneurship among stakeholders.


Coimbatore: The Tamil Nadu Agricultural University (TNAU) is set to conduct a one-day training program on 'Value Addition in Flowers' on October 9, 2024 (Wednesday). The event will take place at the Department of Floriculture and Landscape Architecture, Horticultural College and Research Institute (HC & RI), Coimbatore.

The training is open to the general public, science graduates, startup entrepreneurs, and women. Its primary objective is to disseminate knowledge and provide hands-on skills related to various value-added products from flower crops. Participants will learn about veni and garland making, tinting and artificial coloring of flowers, and floral crafts, among other techniques.

The program aims to promote entrepreneurship among stakeholders in the floriculture industry. The training will run from 10:00 am to 4:30 pm, with a fee of Rs. 1,000 per participant, which includes refreshments and lunch.
