Dr. Sri Swaminatha Desika Swamigal of Thanjavur Sri Karyam Thirukayilaya Skanda Parampara Suryanar Kovil Adheenam visited the temple. The temple administration welcomed him, after which he offered prayers to Sri Venkateswara Perumal and other deities.

Speaking to reporters, the Swamigal emphasized the inseparable nature of spirituality in today's world. He stated, "In this land where great sages were born, spirituality and politics coexisted.
