Coimbatore: The Salem Railway Division has announced the extension of the bi-weekly Kacheguda-Mangaluru train to Murdeshwar in Karnataka. This extension will benefit passengers from Jolarpet, Salem, Erode, Tirupur, and Coimbatore.

According to the press release, Train No. 12789 will depart from Kacheguda at 6:05 AM on Tuesdays and Thursdays, reaching Murdeshwar at 2:05 PM the next day. This train will arrive at Tiruppur at 12:03 AM and Coimbatore at 1:12 AM on Wednesdays and Saturdays.

Train No. 12790 will depart from Murdeshwar at 3:30 PM on Wednesdays and Saturdays, reaching Kacheguda at 11:40 PM the next day. This return train will arrive at Coimbatore at 3:52 AM and Tiruppur at 4:43 AM on Thursdays and Sundays.

The extension of this train service is expected to provide better connectivity for passengers traveling between Andhra Pradesh, Tamil Nadu, and coastal Karnataka. It will also boost tourism and business opportunities in the region.
