Train derailed but no casualties

Locomotive (engine) and 3 coaches from the loco of Train No.22649 Chennai Central Erode Yercaud Express have derailed near Arakkonam at about 00.00 hrs. Since the driver was operating the train at a slow speed there were no casualties or injuries to the passengers. The reason for the derailment is being enquired into. 

The derailed loco and coaches were put back in track by about 05.00 hrs and the train left Arakkonam by 05.05 hrs. There are about 1230 passengers at present on board the train. About 300 passengers were shifted to Train No.22647-Korba Trivandrum Express, by providing a special stoppage at Arakkonam to enable them proceed further. 

Arrangements have been made for food and other refreshments for the passengers en route at Salem, Sangagiri and Erode junctions. The train is expected to arrive at Salem Junction at about 10.00 hrs and Erode at about 11.00 hrs.  The following Helpline Nos. have been provided for providing information and other assistance :
