IPS officer Durai assumes charge as new Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic)


Mr. Durai, IPS has assumed charge as the new Deputy Commissioner of Police (Traffic) for Coimbatore City.

Mr. Durai, IPS who came to the City Police Commissionerate was given a warm welcome by his colleagues and he took over charge as the new DCP of  Coimbatore.



Later speaking to media Mr. Durai, IPS said that I am familiar with Coimbatore city, as I have completed my college education here. I am also aware of the traffic problems faced by the city, and I  would strive to devise plans and schemes to streamline traffic in the city roads with a futuristic vision.  

Mr. Durai, IPS replaces Arjun Saravanan the former DCP (Traffic) who has since been transferred to  State Police Headquarters in Chennai.
