Candlelight vigil in memory of Mullivaikkal Massacre


A candlelight vigil was observed in memory of  Srilankan Tamils in the city by Periyar Dravida Kazhagam. Thousands of Lankan Tamils have been massacred on this very same day in Mullivaikkal during the final stages of Eelam war 4 in the year 2009.



Organized by Periyar Dravida Kazhagam, the candle light vigil is to commemorate the sacrifices of thousands of  Srilankan Tamils who have laid down their lives for the cause of Eelam. 



About 50 people took part in the vigil at Periyar Padippagam. which was organized by K. Ramakrishnan, General Secretary of Periyar Dravida Kazhagam.
