Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam's signature campaign against one country one test - NEET

With the introduction of NEET as qualifying criteria for MBBS from 2012 , it had faced a lot of opposition from a lot of people and had been in the news for all wrong reasons.

One more group from the city has joined the opposition against the NEET. Marumalarchi Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (MDMK) is going to launch a signature campaign today against this examination as they want this exam to get cancelled permanently. This outfit states that to crack this qualifying test the aspirants need to get a good coaching and the coaching classes charge huge amount of fees for this. The students facing financial troubles, government school students are deprived of this coaching due to excess fees.

So they have decided to petition the Prime Minister regarding this issue. The signature campaign will be launched at the Madukarai Market Government School today. The petition would have space for name, address and signature of the 15 persons including parents & students. They are planning to continue the campaign unless it reaches 50,000 signature and petition would reach the Prime Minister everyday.

They have also asked people to log in to at http://pgportal.gov.in for showing their protest against NEET.
