Kumkis sought to resolve tusker issue in Madukkarai

The lone tusker has now become a popular figure at the Madukkarai region. Yesterday it was spotted behind the Army campus.

It's been around this area for several months roaming all through residential colonies and resting at the reserve forest at Madukkarai. So far, 3 casualities have been reported. Several measures to flea it back into the forest has failed.

Hence, the forest officials have decided to make the final move. Three well trained kumkis from Mudumalai, Saadivayal and Anamalai are  assigned for this task. This has given hope for the residents that the tusker says a good bye and makes it way home.
