People demanding for an Expressway at Avinashi Road

A 8 km expressway stretching over from Uppilipalayam to Chinniyampalayam, is one of the featured promises of the 2016 election manifesto. The traffic scenario at Avinashi road is highly alarming with notable accidents through the stretch till Avinashi.

The state secretary for Consumer Cause K. Kathirmathiyon stated that an expressway at Avinashi road will be a boon to the people of the city.  He has urged that the state government should initialise land acquisitions, if required to carry out the four lane expressway project. The lane structure should have provisions to connect Lakshmi Mills and Nava India junctions to the main expressway.

An expressway at Avinashi Road is one of the most awaited projects by the people of the city.
