7 lakhs worth valuables and money stolen in Selvapuram

A theft incident was reported at Selvapuram yesterday. Thieves targeted the house of Sathyanarayan a jeweller and burgled diamond, gold and silver ornaments amounting to rupees 7 lakhs. 

The incident came to light when Sathyanarayan returned home yesterday from Bangalore after visiting his ailing mother. He was startled to see the locks of his door and almirah were tampered, he found that cash worth of Rs.45,000 and jewellery were missing from the almirah. 

He immediately lodged a complained with the Selvapuram Police station. The police along with fingerprint experts reached the spot immediately and the investigations are ongoing to nab the accused.
